Custom Ringtone – Instructions

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2024: The application is no longer available on the Samsung store, because Samsung decided to end the support for Tizen smartwatch apps (you can read more about this HERE). Because of this, we are forced to cease the development of the application on the Tizen platform. We, as developers on the Tizen platform, are as disappointed as our users are, about this decision, but the only thing we can do is to look to the future. From now on we will focus on the Wear OS platform.

Custom Ringtone is a very straightforward to use application for the Tizen smartwatches, that lets you change the ringtone of your device with a custom audio file, in a fast and simple way.

ATTENTION! This app should be used only on the smartwatches that don’t have this feature built-in, like on the smartwatches with an older operating system version. Check your smartwatch settings to make sure you don’t already have this functionality.

This is a step-by-step tutorial on how to use it:

• Install the application from the Samsung App Store.
• Transfer from your smartphone the audio file that you want to set as ringtone to your smartwatch. In order to do this, use the Galaxy Wearable application. Open it up, select Add content to your watch, then Add tracks and select the desired audio file that you want to set as ringtone.

• After uploading the desired audio file to your smartwatch, open the Custom Ringtone application, click on the Change ringtone button and select it from the list. It’s title color will change to yellow, meaning that it’s the actual sound used for ringtone.
